Dear Triton Families,
Growth Mindset quote for the week: “Remember the power of YET. When you say, “I don’t get it,” I don’t know,” or “I can’t do this,” take a deep breath, and remind yourself to say:
“I don’t get it, YET,” “I don’t know, YET,” and “I can’t do it, YET”
Honoring a Hero: Last Friday was an extremely moving and powerful experience for our CMS and Coronado Community. As the motorcade for Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer Charles Keating, IV made its way down 6th Street, CMS students and staff stood with VES, SSES, CHS students and community members waving flags and holding signs to honor him and his family. As I watched my students stand in silence with their hands over their hearts and with unwavering attention, I was filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible respect they exhibited. Thank you for teaching your children the importance of compassion and empathy. Please take a moment to have them share their feelings and thoughts with you, as I know many of them were deeply impacted by the event.
Thank you to all of our military men and women who serve our great nation.

8th Grade Promotion Dance Chaperones Needed: The planning for the 8th grade promotion is well underway, and we need chaperones for the promotion dance on June 9th from 6-9pm in the CMS quad. In the name of tradition, 8th grade parents may not attend the dance, therefore chaperone spots are available to 6th and 7th grade parents only. If you are an 8th grade parent, we may have some donation needs, as well as volunteer opportunities specific for 8th grade parents. Please contact Heather White: email@example.com or Condra Mullins: firstname.lastname@example.org
ATTENTION 8th Grade Parents:
Knott’s Berry Farm trip is Thursday, May 19th. Students must arrive at school no later than 7:15. The buses will return around 6:00pm.
